Dance Etiquette

The two main "rules" at our dance are:

  1. Smile!

  2. Have fun!

Beyond that, here are some tips to ensure an enjoyable, safe event for everyone...

Good things to keep in mind

For safety

Please do not dance with or have drinks on the dance floor.

  1. You likely will get bumped and lose your drink

  2. Sticky or wet floors are not safe for dancers

Line of Dance

When two-stepping or doing other partner dances, the "line of dance" is  a circle that runs counter-clockwise around the room.

Slower dancers should keep to the middle.

We're all learning

We welcome people regardless of any dance experience. We provide a safe, judgement-free zone where everyone can learn some steps and meet friendly people.

Kindness, grace and courtesy are the order of the day at our dances.

Making Room for Everyone

Many songs lend themselves to line dances as well as partner dances, such as two-stepping or West Coast Swing.
Please make room in front of the DJ booth for those doing partner dances.
